Dr. Catalan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trenton State College and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. He further specialized in Body Imaging through a fellowship at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Catalan is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and brings extensive expertise in diagnostic and body imaging.
A distinguished military physician, Dr. Catalan achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Medical Service Corps. Throughout his military career, he trained and practiced at several renowned military medical centers, including Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington, Darnall Army Community Hospital at Fort Hood, Texas, and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
In addition to his clinical and military accomplishments, Dr. Catalan participated in the United States-China Radiology Delegation through the People to People Ambassador Program, fostering international collaboration and the exchange of radiologic expertise.
