Dr. Mavani earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), and his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Barnabas Health Center and his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at both SUNY Upstate Medical Center and Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr. Mavani further specialized in abdominal imaging through an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Mavani is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology with advanced expertise in Abdominal Imaging, providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services with a focus on abdominal and cross-sectional imaging.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Mavani served for nine years in the United States Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Sergeant (E-5). He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in a combat zone.
